Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Gangtok & MG Marg Evening Walk
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) and drive through scenic mountain valleys along the Teesta River to Gangtok. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Spend the evening strolling along MG Marg, the lively, vehicle-free pedestrian street known for local shopping, cafes, and mountain ambiance.
Day 2
Sacred Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion
After an early breakfast, embark on an excursion to the high-altitude, glacier-fed Tsomgo (Changu) Lake located at 12,400 feet. Continue driving to the famous Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Temple. Return to Gangtok in the afternoon to visit the Enchey Monastery and the Do Drul Chorten Stupa.
Day 3
Scenic Transfer to Darjeeling & Mall Road
Check out from Gangtok and enjoy a scenic 4-hour drive to Darjeeling, passing through lush hillside vistas and tea gardens. Arrive in the "Queen of the Hills" and check into your hotel. In the evening, explore the historic Darjeeling Mall (Chowrasta) and local handicraft shops.
Day 4
Tiger Hill Sunrise, Batasia Loop & Himalayan Heritage Tour
Wake up at 4:00 AM and drive to Tiger Hill to watch the stunning sunrise light up Mt. Kanchenjunga. On the return trip, stop at the historic Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop War Memorial. After breakfast, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and a lush tea estate.
Day 5
Farewell & Departure Transfer
Enjoy breakfast while taking in views of the surrounding hills. Check out of your hotel and drive back down to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station for your departure flight or train with wonderful Himalayan memories.
